Last week,Tokomaru School walked to the fire staition to get a head start on our fire saftey.

At the fire staition Danny talked to us about what to do and what not to do in a fire.
We also got to listen to a fire fighters breathing mask for the future

Once danny had  fished his speach we got to go in the smoke room that fire fighters had kindly set up for us. Every body got told to queitly get into groups of 6. (didn't seem to be very quiet though) we had to stand in a long line until finaly it was my turn.
i went in with Moio, Jonothan, Grace, Lauren and Cheymani.

the groups had to enter the smoke room together and exit the smoke room together.

once we exioted we got a lollie pop and a fire wise book. soon after we got tooken outside for a photograph and our certificats. we had a sword fight with our booklets which was propably the most funnest part of my day.

Year 2010 has been  a perfect year.
Looking back at my 3 favourite memories dance, athletics & Ag day.

Dance has been a main highlight for me this year because Kayla and i was able to dance to our own song. Thank you miss ballingor for giving up your time to help and teach us new moves.

Athletics has been another main event because came third in the four hundred meter and i caught up with some old friends.

And last taking my calf skittles to Ag day i enjoyed every moment spent with her.

These are times i’ll remember the most   (ENJOY THE LITTLE THINGS)

Sitting out side in p.js   waiting patently for dad to tell me to get dressed.

Once I was ready and every thing was in the car we set of for the beach.                                                We stopped in Shannon to pick up a couple of dad s friends. (Brook and Dion)

We were almost there a sign said waitairere we turned that way.                                                            We went to a river mouth were we usually go. There quite a few people there who our dogs liked.

Dad set up my rod for me by putting on a sinker and a hook with squid on it. Dad casted the fishing rod and put it in a metal holder.

After ten minutes dad told me to wind up his, there was nothing there. Dad soon caught a fish straight after my sister Ashlee wound in my rod and there was a fish VICTORY the line snapped as soon as we got it in so dad quickly took it up to the Ute to bleed it. Dad also scaled and cleaned the fish.

Dad put the fish in a bucket and re-set  up my line.dad gave me the fishing rod after he casted it almost straight away a fish got caught dad told me to keep the line straight by walking backwards  and reeling fast while walking forwards . Dad saw the fish jump out of the water he said it was humongous just when the fish was about to come to come in the line snapped and the fish swam away.

Dad re-casted the line and gave me the rod. I held the rod tight I was anxious to catch another fish.      And it wasn’t very long before I did I followed dad’s advice I walked backwards reeled the line in fast while walking forward ANOTHER VICTORY

We soon went home though because the tied went out.

Fractions are a part of a whole number. Fractions are made up of a numerator and a denominator.
The numerator is the top number and the denominator is the bottom number. The denominator is how much you’ve got and the numerator is how much has been selected.
There are three different types of fractions normal fractions which we all know such as ¼, ½, and ¾, Mixed fractions like 1½ or 54¾ and top heavy fractions like  = 4 or  =4.
As you can see, Top heavy fractions are where the numerator is higher than the denominator and you just divide the 2 numbers.
Mixed fractions are where you have a whole number and a fraction afterwards.
Adding fractions with the same denominator is where you get two fractions and add the two top numbers (you leave the bottom numbers the same)
Ordering fractions can be confusing because when the number is bigger the number is put at the bottom of a number line closer to zero and the smaller it is the bigger it is on the number line.
IF YOU KNOW DIVISION YOU KNOW HOWTO USE FRACTIONS!!

Once upon a time in a small village lived a small cat called kitty cat and her fiends Tinker bell, Blue, Possum and Jasper.
One day Kitty cat went out for a walk. Soon she heard a rustle in the leaves. Kitty cat thought someone was following her so she went to see the Queen.
On her way she meet Tinker bell who asked “Kitty cat, what is the matter?” “someone is following me, I need to see the Queen.” “May I come” asked Tinker bell “of course” said Kitty cat so they travelled together to find the Queen.
When they got to the village they bumped into Blue and asked him what are you doing out so early?” “I’m going shopping “replied Blue ‘what are you doing?” “Going to find the Queen want to come?” asked Tinker bell “sure I’ll come” said Blue (I have no idea what he’s done with groceries)
Jasper saw them and quickly caught up “watch you doing?” Blue quickly turned around and said “going to see the Queen you can come if you want to” so they all travelled through the village to see the Queen.
They were half way up a steep hill when they saw their friend possum and called out for her she turned around (recognized them straight away as usual) and ran toward them to give them a hug she soon said “oh my gosh it’s so good to see you”  -  “ok settle down possum no need to yell” jasper said quietly  and slowly “what are you doing” I’m going to see the Queen because all the houses are to small and I can’t get to sleep”, “were going to see the Queen because I’m sure someone was following me so I going  to see the Queen as well plus I meet up with these guys on the way. “Do you want to come?”, “Sure at least I won’t be lonely like others” she said pointing at someone walking by them selves.
They carried on walking up the hill talking to each other. They were almost there when a dog came and said that they were going the wrong way and he would show them the way
He led them to a small cave and said “through there.” Three birds tried to warn them but they didn’t hear and went in. The dog followed in behind them. Soon the dog came out but the cats didn’t follow in other words the dog ate the cats (the only one who lived happily ever after was the dog who tricked plenty more people with the same trick)
My dad’s name is Tim. He is 32 years old and is almost as tall as a door frame. My dad has short ginger brown hair with a long rat’s tail.
My dad has a lot of tattoos such as Chinese writing on his hands (which happens to be Ashlee’s name and my name). My dad also has a dragon on each arm, a face on the back of his arm, a tattoo on his foot that says mommy, half a face on his thigh and a sun on his left knee. Because my dad’s tattoos are fading, he is going to get them darkened and finished.
My dad loves the outdoors as he’s always attending to his herd at six o’clock in the morning while everyone else is asleep. When my dad has free time from the farm, he will spend time with his family by taking them out fishing on the Manawatu River. Because my dad has a boat, he will take us for a ride down the river to Shannon and back. But when my dad has a whole week off he will take us to Castle Point or dad will take us to the beach.
Although dad has a lot to do during the day, it’s not quite the same after work. My dad will plays tennis with me (he’s really good)! When my dad was little, he got a tennis racket with his name engraved in it. If dad is not in the mood for tennis we spend time on the couch and watch TV. We watch Avatar, Sponge Bob, Invader Zim, The Simpson or Family Guy.
My dad likes animals’ a lot.  Because my dad likes animals a lot, it just so happens to be that we have six dogs, two cats, ten chickens and three hundred cows. We had one dog that died and because she was special dad drew a picture of her (which is now in my desk) since mum liked the drawing of our dog she let dad draw on our table but now it’s out in our garage. My dad also drew a knight with a volcanoe in the back ground on our coffee table.
Although my dad has a lot to do on the farm, he’s always there for me but the one thing I could change would be how he stays at work but no matter how long he stays at work, I still love him.
