Fractions are a part of a whole number. Fractions are made up of a numerator and a denominator.
The numerator is the top number and the denominator is the bottom number. The denominator is how much you’ve got and the numerator is how much has been selected.
There are three different types of fractions normal fractions which we all know such as ¼, ½, and ¾, Mixed fractions like 1½ or 54¾ and top heavy fractions like  = 4 or  =4.
As you can see, Top heavy fractions are where the numerator is higher than the denominator and you just divide the 2 numbers.
Mixed fractions are where you have a whole number and a fraction afterwards.
Adding fractions with the same denominator is where you get two fractions and add the two top numbers (you leave the bottom numbers the same)
Ordering fractions can be confusing because when the number is bigger the number is put at the bottom of a number line closer to zero and the smaller it is the bigger it is on the number line.
IF YOU KNOW DIVISION YOU KNOW HOWTO USE FRACTIONS!!
